We handle the booking
Once you choose a specialist, we coordinate the referral with your GP, confirm the appointment with the consultant's rooms, and submit pre-authorisation to your insurer on your behalf. You receive a single confirmation — nothing is done without your approval.

Do I need a referral letter to begin?
No. You can start with just your insurer and plan name. If a referral is needed for your specialist, we coordinate it with your GP as part of the booking.
Which insurers do you work with?
Vhi, Laya Healthcare, Irish Life Health and HSF Health — the four insurers covering essentially the entire Irish private health market. We keep plan structures current so the cover we show you matches what your insurer will actually settle.
Are you affiliated with my insurer?
No. Coverly is fully independent of all insurers. We work for the patient — which is why we can tell you the real out-of-pocket cost, not just the headline.
Are you regulated? Do you give insurance advice?
Coverly is a healthcare navigation service, not an insurance intermediary. We do not sell, compare or advise on insurance products, and we do not handle claims. What we do is read the policy you already hold and tell you — in plain language — what it says: your excess, your covered specialists, your direct-settlement options. We present that information so you can make an informed decision. We never tell you what to claim or whether to claim.
What about consultants who aren't in-network?
We show you in-network consultants first because that's almost always what patients want. If a specific consultant matters to you, we tell you exactly what your plan will and won't reimburse so there are no surprises.
How quickly will I have an appointment?
The match is usually within an hour. The appointment itself depends on the consultant's availability — we sort options by soonest available so you can choose.
